Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, Digital Friends is an exciting new four month project designed to support older people and those who are isolated across North Lanarkshire. It is being coordinated by VANL (Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire) and Supported by North Lanarkshire Disability Forum, Befriend Motherwell, CACE and Glenboig Development Trust.
The project will pair a volunteer who is reasonably confident in using smart phones, tablets and laptops, with someone who would like to learn how to access life online, learning how to shop online, use video calling platforms and even trying out their hobbies online.
